July 4, 2014: Era of Vikings Featuring May’s Soul, On A Lark, Bite & Claw, And More!

For those thrifty shoppers in the states like me, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!  I hope you’re getting a chance to spend time with family and watch lots of pretty explosives!  For those of you in other parts of the world, I hope your weekend is off to a great start, and it should be, with so many fantastic events going on across the grid!

The 30L Era of Vikings gacha is well underway, and I hope you’ve gotten your shopping *mostly* done, as it’s only around for two more days!  I know, I know, I wish it went on a bit longer too, as there’s lots of great items to be had this round.

I was really excited to showcase this lovely set from May’s Soul, in particular the rare offering, this unique rare skull headpiece, complete with a color-changing HUD to customize the painted accent on the forehead to whatever color scheme your pixel heart can desire!  I included the skirt from one of the common outfit sets from this gacha as well, shown here in beige.  This top, in the “Earth” shade from For F’s Sake matched perfectly, as did these rare bracers from ::B&C::.

I also really love the offering from creator Lark of On A Lark.  The “Runes” necklace sets are both beautiful and quite creative, with rune carvings representing happiness, luck, opportunity, strength, wealth, and *many* more!  I chose the “happy” rune. 🙂

There’s a lot more than just clothing and accessories at this event, however!  In the above picture I’ve featured two pieces from [raare], the rare Viking helmet and the Valkyrie shield.  I’ve also included the ultra-rare offering from GOR CON, an interactive stone circle perfect for any type of Gorean or Viking-themed priest role-play.  This set comes with a variety of solo and couple animations and is a great deal!

July 1, 2014: Speed Over to Level Up For Some Great Racing Gear!

Happy Tuesday, thrifty shoppers!

It’s the start of a new month, AND a Tuesday, so there’s oodles of bargain shopping to be done in Second Life, and I hope you’re getting in on the goodness!  If you’re a self-professed geek and haven’t been to Level Up yet, then shame on you! Get your nerd on and head over for some great new items following this month’s theme, which is, as you can probably tell from my picture, racing themed!

For this ensemble I featured this adorable dress from .tsg.  It’s a daring little number with an exposed front and available in a variety of bold colors that paired up nicely with these unique and fun wedge heels from Frogstar.  I’m showcasing one with the rare gacha version in hot pink as well.  After gearing up with these great goggles in black from Violent Seduction and painting my nails with a great checkered flag design from .Figure. I was ready to hit the track…well maybe only dressed to race and showcasing this fabulous pose from an lar.  No one wants me behind the wheel, I’d just get lost!

June 30, 2014: Tales of Fantasy Items From Luas & Sweet Poison!

Greetings thrifty shoppers!

It may be summer vacation for a lot of you, but the fantasy fashion events in Second Life are NOT taking a break!  Today we say goodbye to a really wonderful event that has brought us some creative and original items, the Tales of Fantasy event.  Two sets of offerings from Ainara of Luas and Bella of Sweet Poison were items I had really looked forward to featuring, and I’m excited to showcase them for you today!

This lovely dress and leather-studded armor set from Luas is versatile for so many kinds of role-play, and beautiful too.  The ultra-rare win is most definitely worth playing for, as the color-change HUD provides so many looks for this set!  It also happened to pair up perfectly with this unique and well-designed set from Sweet Poison, including a headpiece, necklace and armlets (not featured here) also with color-changing HUD, which to me had a very Native American inspired feel.  I felt it was the ideal compliment to my look, which I hope you’ve enjoyed!

In other news, be sure to be on the lookout for the 30L Era of Vikings Gacha Event, which will be running from July 2-6, and featuring loads of viking-themed goodies.  I can’t wait to see you there!

June 17, 2014: More Totally Top Shelf, Countdown Room & Tales of Fantasy Goodies!

Happy 25L Tuesday, thrifty shoppers!

While this post doesn’t include any fabulous finds from that event, there are plenty of fabulous finds to be seen here!  There’s lots more where they came from at Totally Top Shelf, The Countdown Room and Tales of Fantasy, so be sure to check them out before these great deals are gone!

If you’ve been hunting for a pale skin for your fantasy role-play, or just because you happen to like pale skin, then look no further!  At The Countdown Room you’ll find a lovely, limited edition skin from !Curvalicious!  Included are a variety of lipstick colors, a bloody mouth tattoo, and appliers for every popular mesh body attachment available.  Given the quality of this skin and all the little extras, this is an incredible deal, but it’s only around for a *very* short time!  Only 50 of these skins will be sold, so what are you waiting for? The “Diety” dress from [Haste] had caught my eye when I visited Tales of Fantasy earlier in the week, and I knew I had to have it.  When my favorite blogger and bestie Kaci gave me my size in red, I squealed with excitement and decided it would be perfect for my “Undead Goddess” ensemble, along with part of Aisling’s “Eunice” jewelry set, shown here in silver.  I paired the look up with a couple items at Totally Top Shelf, including this gorgeous and one-of-a-kind headpiece from [Teri] along with “Poseidon’s Pearl Necklace” from <3Heartistic, shown here in black.  The look was complete with this staff from May’s Soul, which comes with a color-changing HUD for the gemstone piece of this item.

June 15, 2014: Goodies From This Round of Totally Top Shelf, Fantasy Room, & The Countdown Room!

Greetings thrifty shoppers!

I’ve been really inspired by so many new creations being released lately, in particular the Grecian and Roman themed items from events like Totally Top Shelf and Tales of Fantasy!  When I received this skin from Aria, along with this gorgeous gown from Distorted Dreams, I knew I had to create a lovely underwater scene for all of you!

I decided to pair this gown with one of Luas new releases, exclusively for this month’s round of The Countdown Room.  This “sunbeam” staff is available in black, silver, or golden, which I chose to use along with these incredible horns from Cubic Cherry Kre-ations, and this delicate, floral crown, also from DD and available at the current round of We ❤ RP.  I included this intricately designed jeweled headpiece from Keystone as well as this lovely accessory set from Sweet Kajira, and my “Ocean Goddess” look was nearly complete!  I polished off the ensemble with these gorgeous sandals from Whatz which are shown here in cream and are available at this month’s Fantasy Room.

June 11, 2014: Fashion for Life & Totally Top Shelf Previews Featuring Black Pearls and Deluxe Body Factory!

Greetings thrifty shoppers!

Real life issues have kept me away for a few days, and I apologize to you all for that, but I’m excited to be back to bring you some great new fashions from some GREAT new events, in particular the Fashion For Life event going on right now!  SO many creators and fashions are at this multi-sim event, and each purchase not only makes you look fabulous but is something you can feel good about buying, as part of each sale is donated to the Relay for Life, which supports The American Cancer Society – a disease which has affected us all in some form or another.

The skin I’m wearing is just one of the many items available at this event, from Deluxe Body Factory.  It comes in a wide array of shades, and a variety of appliers for mesh parts, including Slink hands and feet, which I’m showing below.  I’ve also included a gorgeous necklace from Black Pearls, which will be available at a new and already highly anticipated event, Totally Top Shelf, which opens on Friday the 13th (but don’t let the date scare you away ;))!

I added these adorable sandals from On A Lark that are currently available at the Tales of Fantasy Event, which opened to the public yesterday.  These are the RARE gacha win, and come complete with a color-changing HUD!  If you’ve not yet been to ToF, make sure you do, as you’ll find a wide array of clothing, accessories, poses and even decor following the “Gods & Goddesses” theme!

Happy Sunday, thrifty shoppers!

I’m excited to bring you some new items today, including some really gorgeous and unique decor from We ❤ RP!  These pieces, the hanging crystals and crystal garden created by On A Lark and Sweet Poison, are perfect for that mystical cave or garden and come with an intricate, color-changing HUD to create a variety of lighting effects.

These decor items matched perfectly with the “crystal crown” from *OAL*, and the coordinating “crystal pouch” from creator Bella of Sweet Poison.  This adorable little underwear set from !Curvalicious, featured here in teal really helped to bring this ensemble together.  Both of these pieces come with appliers for a wide variety of mesh attachments, including WowMeh, Lolas, and [Banned], and come in a wide array of colors.  Be sure to stop by and grab a set for yourself!

June 4, 2014: Fantasy Room Previews Featuring Luas, Axix, Una, [TGW] & Poptart!

I’ve got a great new look for you today thrifty shoppers, and nearly all of the items I’m wearing are going to be available TOMORROW at The Fantasy Room for some great prices!

For this ensemble I’ve taken this great, fur-textured bikini From ::Una:: and paired it up with a really unique, snake-inspired belt, bracelets, and necklace from ::Axix::.  I added these Luas Juno barefoot sandals in gold, a delicate face chain from {PopTart}, also in gold, and a beautiful yet imposing staff from [TGW] .  With this unusual headpiece from [Keystone], which will be available soon at Totally Top Shelf, my look was complete!

June 2, 2014: More Totally Top Shelf Previews Featuring Rack Poses, Zyn & TumbleTwig/Skjern Designs!

There are so many up-and-coming fashion events on the horizon, thrifty shoppers!  I’ve got some great previews to share with you for the Totally Top Shelf event, opening June 13, and some information about a great event opening in just five days!  But first, onto today’s outfit!

These new poses from RACK set the scene perfectly for my “Goddess of the Forest” ensemble when put together with the Zyn woodland tree wings and headdress, part of a collection honoring a variety of Greek Gods & Goddesses.  This gown, part of the “Ysandre” collection from Bite & Claw and lovely necklace from TumbleTwig/Skjern Designs brought this look together, and I hope you enjoy it!

May 29, 2014: Previews From Totally Top Shelf Featuring Keystone, Frogstar, & Kei-Spot!

Good day to you, thrifty shoppers!

If you’ve not yet heard about the latest up-and-coming Second Life fantasy fashion event, I’m thrilled to tell you more!

Totally Top Shelf is a bi-monthly, genre-focused fashion event featuring some of SL’s most reputable and established fantasy designers, as well as newer creators.  This month’s theme is “Greek Mythology”, and from furniture to outfits and accessories to poses, this is the place to find everything you need to re-create your own Greek role-play!

These rope cuffs, which will be available from [Keystone] are ideal for any slave ensemble, and I felt really brought my outfit together!  I decided to add them to this great, barely-there mini dress from Sweet Poison, which I picked up at Tuesday’s 25LT event, shown here in red.

I thought this was the perfect outfit to showcase some of the lovely furniture and builder’s offerings at this new event.  The “Isidoros Crepidoma” from Frogstar, shown behind me, helps to create the perfect setting for role-play, or can be used to create a lovely, romantic setting, especially when paired with the “Feasting Rug” from Kei-Spot, which I’m presenting also in red!
